The RRT or CRT position provides respiratory therapy care to patients of diverse demographics, adhering to hospital policies and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field. Key responsibilities include demonstrating competency in patient care, attending training sessions, and complying with safety standards.

Key Requirements

• Compliance with hospital attendance and punctuality guidelines

• Maintenance of current knowledge in areas of responsibility through self-education and ongoing educational programs
• Attendance at staff meetings and completion of mandatory in-services, requirements, and competency evaluations on time
• Demonstration of competency at all levels in providing care to patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs

Working Conditions

• General environment: Well-lighted, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels
• Possible exposure to high noise levels and bright lights
• Possible exposure to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms
• Possibility of changing from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
• Potential for periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (Required)
• Certifications/Licensures: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) NICU RRT only
