What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Weekend Shift Friday-Monday 6am-4pm position at Phoenix Air?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Is responsible for working with maintenance staff to fulfill their parts requests/needs and compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, shipping materials, supplies and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Unpacks, examines, routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred parts experience.
• Computer literate.
• Preferred Pentagon software experience.
• Experience in shipping and receiving.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Talk and/or hear regularly throughout the day.
• Sitting, standing and walking throughout the day.
• Climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms as needed.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
