What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Coordinator position at Phoenix Building Solutions?
Position: Sales Coordinator/Advocate
Location: On-Site in Alabama (Relocation Encouraged)
Salary: $40,000/year Base Commission Opportunities
Company: Phoenix Building Solutions – "Building Dreams ~ Not Just Homes"
Phoenix Building Solutions is not your average park model home manufacturer. We believe in building dreams ~ not just homes, and we're growing fast because we’re doing it right: high-end, fully customizable park models with full tongue-and-groove wood, vaulted ceilings, and craftsmanship that never cuts corners.
Now, we’re hiring a Sales Coordinator & Advocate to be the vital link between our sales team, production crew, purchasing department, transportation team, accounting office, and—most importantly—our customers. This is not just a job. It’s a mission-critical position within a tight-knit, fast-moving, values-driven company that cares deeply about quality, communication, and doing things right the first time.
This is a career-defining opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, professional communication, and purpose. If that’s you, keep reading. If not, thanks for stopping by.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the Bridge: Once a salesperson secures an order, you'll step in to ensure that order is submitted accurately and completely. You'll review every spec, confirm every option, and communicate that order clearly to the production team.
- Ensure Flawless Builds: Work side-by-side with our plant team to ensure every home is built exactly to the customer's specifications. You'll serve as the guardian of the details throughout the build process.
- Document the Journey: Take step-by-step photos of each home as it’s built to share with customers via the sales team—building trust and transparency every step of the way.
- Support the Sale: Be prepared to jump in on-site when a walk-in customer arrives. You’ll have the opportunity to sell directly and earn commission. You'll be trained on our offerings and supported by a stellar sales team.
- Coordinate with Purchasing: Collaborate with purchasing to ensure all materials are ordered on time and align with each unit’s specifications.
- Oversee Delivery Details: Work with the accounting and transportation departments to ensure every “t” is crossed and “i” is dotted—preparing each home for shipment and delivery.
- Professional Communication: You are the point person. That means being available, informed, calm under pressure, and excellent at following up and following through.
Who You Are:
- Hyper-Detail-Oriented: You don’t just catch the little things—you thrive on finding them before they become big things.
- Incredibly Professional: You know how to communicate with sales teams, production crews, accountants, and customers—and you treat each one with the same level of respect and clarity.
- Customer-Focused: You care deeply about the customer experience and understand your role is to protect it from the moment the order is placed to the day the keys are handed over.
- Adaptable: No two days will be exactly alike. You must be comfortable shifting gears and wearing many hats.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using technology to track orders, send updates, and document progress with photos.
- Sales-Ready: While this is not primarily a sales role, your ability to connect with customers and guide them toward the right solution matters—a lot. Prior sales experience is helpful, but this is not a “Verizon kiosk” type of sales job. This is about building long-term relationships with customers making life-changing decisions.
- High-Integrity: You reflect the values of our company in everything you do. That includes honesty, kindness, consistency, and a commitment to excellence.
Must-Haves:
- Must be on-site in Alabama (we believe in hands-on teamwork—you need to be physically present to succeed in this role).
- Prior experience in a detail-intensive, customer-facing role. Construction, logistics, manufacturing, or high-end product coordination experience preferred.
- Must be willing to relocate if not currently local. This is a position worth moving for.
- Must have a working understanding of how to handle professional communication across teams.
Compensation & Growth:
- $40,000/year base salary to start
- Commission opportunities for direct sales
- Room for growth in a rapidly expanding, purpose-driven company
- The opportunity to be a key player in a company poised to become the #1 park model builder in America
How to Apply:
We take hiring seriously because we take our people seriously. To apply:
- Submit a Cover Letter introducing yourself, why this role is calling to you, and what specific skills and experience you bring to the table.
- Include 2 character references—people who can speak to your professionalism, work ethic, and integrity.
- Attach your resume.
This is more than a job—it’s a calling. And we’re looking for someone who feels it.
If that’s you, welcome home.
