Responsibilities as a Porter :
Remove miscellaneous debris and remove trash
Clean floors by washing, vacuuming and polishing floors
Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with security regulations
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Enhance housekeeping reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Requirements for a Porter :
Must be able to work 7am-3pm shift OR 3pm-11pm shift
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year of related experience
Physical demands : regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel and bend, lift and carry
Must be able to operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaner, wet vac, and carpet machine
Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors a plus
