Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating wound care assessments, prevention, and treatment plans
- Developing and implementing effective nursing care plans for residents at risk or currently with skin integrity issues
- Monitoring and assessing new skin observation alerts
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to supervise and develop wound care programs
- Providing education and training to nursing and therapy staff on wound care best practices
- Evaluating and implementing effective plans of care with open communication with residents and families
- Making sound decisions in response to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:
- A current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
- Experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a long-term care setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
