The Opportunity
Temporary Student Engagement Coordinator
The Temporary Student Engagement Coordinator is responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive school culture by supporting student involvement, engagement, and success. This role will work closely with students, families, staff, and school leadership to coordinate programs and activities that promote student voice, attendance, and a sense of belonging. The position is ideal for someone passionate about youth development, community building, and creating engaging student experiences.
Key responsibilities include:

Building monitoring duties:

Bathroom monitoring - open and close bathrooms, check SmartPass

Front entry checks - collect phones, check bags, scan students with wand, and ensure students are in uniform before entering the building

Circulation during class periods & lunch - check that doors are locked, students are in their correct classes, and respond to Admin Needed alerts

Plan, set up and participate in student events including LevelUp, Community Meeting and special events
Operations Support

Assist with cleaning tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have related experience working with youth
- Submit to and pass criminal offender records check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprinting
- High school diploma preferred, but not required
