Position Summary
Posting Note : The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) at Phoenix Children's seeks a Pediatric Hematologist / Oncologist to serve as Section Chief - Leukemia and Lymphoma. The successful candidate will have several years of focused experience in clinical care for pediatric patients with hematologic malignancies and be nationally recognized as a leader in this field.
We are looking for an experienced, transformational physician leader to grow further one of the largest pediatric leukemia and lymphoma programs in the United States. A close working relationship and physician liaison exists with our Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapy program, which provides services for patients requiring life-saving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, including CAR-T cell treatment. The incoming section chief will leverage extraordinary clinical and research opportunities in collaboration with our three academic and clinical partners, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Creighton University, and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
Oversight of the section's clinical, research, educational, and quality programs and shared inpatient and outpatient patient care.
Should have a strong interest in mentoring and program development, be academically productive
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty Pediatric Hematology / Oncology.
The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the PCH mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families.

- Patient Care Services
1)Provide patient care services for which he / she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to :
1)Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (e.g. individual, division, hospital)
1)Treat colleagues, PCH employees and customers with courtesy, dignity and respect
1)Physician shall support the Division Chief in his / her role as liaison to the professional community and general public as requested by the Division Chief
