PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Transportation Specialist is crucial in overseeing company-wide shuttle and agency fleet vehicle monitoring.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, monitoring, coordinating and implementing the company wide shuttle between all Phoenix CDS and Scattered Sites properties
- Transporting consumers to and from predetermined locations including medical facilities, social service organizations, and retail stores
- Assisting consumers in loading and unloading items from vehicle where necessary
- Completing pre- and post- trip inspections and documentation each time shuttle vehicle is used
- Maintaining a clean vehicle ready to serve consumers at all times
- Fueling company vehicles and document information per company procedure
- Completing and submitting all required documentation including but not limited to: inspection logs, fuel reports, and incident reports
- Documenting all mileage and maintaining inspection logs, preventative maintenance (oil changes), car washes, etc.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to consumer transportation
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Maintaining continuing education requirements specific to field and position.
- Must have the following:
- High School Diploma or GED
-Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a field related to mental health supportive services or serving individuals experiencing homelessness
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of various clinical criteria related to issues confronting our consumers (i.e. mental health, substance abuse, housing)
- Knowledge of local service provider network (i.e. substance abuse treatment, mental health services, employment readiness services)
- Use Rules of Professional Ethics, Regulations and Confidentiality and apply to daily work situations.
- Basic knowledge of Windows office systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook
WORK CONDITIONS
- The Transportation Specialist has a designated office but is expected to spend majority of day in the community serving consumers.
- Expect to interact with staff and consumers to provide activities related to work
- May require prolonged sitting or standing.
