Inspection Assistant Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with the repair station shipping and receiving processes to include processing paperwork and documentation as necessary. Follow work instructions to clean and prepare parts for inspection and repair. Overtime is mandatory when required. Specific requirements include: Primarily train in fan case inspection duties Assist in receiving inspection of raw stock and aircraft component repair parts to ascertain serviceability, verify certification from manufacture and inspect for shipping damage Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure current calibration status Interpret work cards, review inspection requirements scope and detail Follow repair manuals, technical data, SOPs and work instructions to clean, disassemble and/ or repair parts and components as necessary Ensure compliance with all applicable FARs during the course of day-to-day assignments Complete visual and dimensional inspections of parts and components as applicable Perform various types of non-destructive inspections as applicable to the repair operations Perform preliminary inspections on customer parts entering the Repair Station and note any discrepancies found on the appropriate forms Inspect and evaluate work performed by technicians and ensure rework if any deficiencies found Ensure all applicable paperwork is complete and accurate prior to release of parts to service Follow and support safety, quality, regulatory and procedural rules, policies, and guidance Keep work area clean and in neat at all times Perform other associated tasks as may be assigned When directed or available assist logistics in loading/ unloading and other misc. duties
Additional Requirements Minimum starting wage is $15.00 per hour Eligibility Requirements; PRE-EMPLOYEE DRUG SCREENING AND REMAIN SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING Read, write and understand the English language Possess valid driver license and operate mobile equipment and company vehicles with trailers Pass an annual visual exam
