Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Asset Liquidation Manager to oversee the valuation, marketing, and sale of surplus or obsolete industrial assets. This role involves managing the entire asset disposition process, including auctions, private sales, and consignment agreements, while maximizing recovery value and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, industrial equipment sales, and liquidation strategies. This role has a heavy focus on industrial building infrastructure (HVAC, Electrical, Fire Suppression, Dock Equipment) and manufacturing process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the condition, market value, and resale potential of industrial equipment, manufacturing process equipment, machinery, and surplus inventory.
- Develop and execute asset disposition strategies, including auctions, private sales, and scrap recovery.
- Build and maintain relationships with buyers, auctioneers, resellers, and industry-specific liquidation platforms.
- Create and implement marketing campaigns, including digital listings, direct outreach, and auction promotions. Or coordinate these efforts with 3rd party firms.
- Ensure all sales agreements, contracts, and regulatory requirements are met throughout the liquidation process. This includes verifying the revenue is allocated and processed through the correct internal workflow.
- Organize asset removal, transportation, and site clearance in collaboration with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Track sales, revenues, and performance metrics to report on liquidation results and process efficiencies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with asset liquidation, such as environmental hazards and legal issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years in industrial asset management, liquidation, equipment sales, or related field
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, and surplus asset markets
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in B2B asset transactions
- Ability to assess asset conditions, conduct market research, and analyze financial reports
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple liquidation projects simultaneously
- Ability to interact with vendors, clients, and stakeholders effectively
- Proficiency in asset management software, online auction platforms, and digital marketing tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with liquidation firms, auction houses, or corporate surplus management
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to industrial asset disposal
- Background in logistics or supply chain management
