Phoenix Contact’s Manufacturing Operations ICE-Production Team is looking for an Industrial Engineering Summer 2025 Intern to support multiple levels of individuals throughout the manufacturing organization in order to help make improvements in operational efficiency. You will gain valuable experience learning the many aspects that go into manufacturing of cables for industrial applications. Our Summer interns work full time in a fun and engaging work environment.
What does a typical day look like?
Supporting the team in being on the production floor interacting with various levels of production personnel from direct operators up to management level. Learning and interacting with various manual, semi-automated, and automated processes to identify improvements in efficiency.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Majors: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles
- Must be a current college student
- Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time)
- Commute to Middletown, PA office
- Ontime and regular attendance
