We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Facilities Manager - PTOC.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
The Facilities Manager is a Part Time on Call position for a self-starter and skilled individual who is competent and efficient scheduling and completing routine repairs at a 48,000 square foot office building. This position is needed to keep the facility running smoothly, efficiently, and safely to meet occupant's needs. The Facilities Manager must be able to manage maintenance workers, be hardworking and physically capable of performing manual tasks. The Facilities Manager is the person employees call when they have a problem with the facility or need additional capabilities. The Facilities Manager is expected to perform minor repairs or upgrades and supervise subcontractors for major changes.
- Proactively check the facility on a routine basis for deficiencies (i.e., electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing etc.)
- Perform repairs for minor deficiencies (clogged toilets, changing filters, etc.)
- Find and coordinate vendors for more complex tasks (additional power drops, new walls, etc.) and ensure work is performed to standard
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Enhance the aesthetics of the building by hanging pictures, moving desks, and organizing common areas such as the break room
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions to include hurricane preparedness
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
- Identify and work to resolve any safety issues inside and outside of building
