WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide Quality inspection support to Receiving operations. Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
- Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
- Compare quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
- Inspect and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to blueprints, parts manuals, company or military standards, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
- Assist with identification and segregation of rejected products or materials; approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.
- Inspect incoming orders for counterfeit material.
ABOUT YOU:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skilled in the use of all types of measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
- Work from Engineering drawings/specs, Engineering change notices or established operating procedures.
- Experience in PC skills (Microsoft Office-Excel, Word).
- Minimum of 1 year in Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:
- Ability to work under minimum supervision. Assignments are received in the form of results expected, due dates and general procedures to follow.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional correspondence, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
