We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Systems Analyst on our JLCCTC program.
What You Will Do:
- Work together in a small team of software professionals within an Agile development environment to accomplish team milestones while collaborating with other teams to achieve project strategic goals; With everyone working in concert to create the best product possible.
- Be part of shaping the design, processes, and tools used for the project knowing we value entrepreneurship and ‘out of the box’ thinking.
- Be comfortable being yourself and expressing your personality and personal qualities to influence our tight-knit software development teams.
- Participate in brainstorming, consensus building and other team activities to identify actions that improve our products and processes.
- Determining business needs and evaluating existing network infrastructure and systems.
- Optimizing network hardware and software to enable VMware integration.
- Developing and deploying customized VMware solutions.
- Designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enabling template management.
- Installing operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues.
- Providing technical support and documenting VMware processes.
- Cisco Networking experience to include routing, switching, VLANs, Port Channels.
- Builds and installs computer infrastructure, which encompasses hardware and virtual machines, using a VMware environment.
- Responsible for maintaining and inventorying of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), to include all program specific software licenses.
- Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of Program activities is required.
About You:

- Associate to bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineer, Information Systems Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of Three (3) to Seven (7) years of experience supporting IT projects/programs, networking, integration and/or systems engineering.
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy management experience is preferred.
- VMware administration, Cisco, Linux, or similar certification is a plus
- Experience in IT protocols, IT systems, and wired/wireless networking infrastructures.
- Highly proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Holds (or has the ability to obtain) a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
- Knowledge of multiple Operating Systems; RHEL 6&&, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 & 2020.
- Knowledge of Windows active directory, server blades, NetApp storage, user accounts, and network equipment.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, subnets, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and containers.
- Possess a thorough understanding of VMware.
