WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Test Engineer II (TE2) as part of the Integration and Test team on the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) program is for individuals with foundational testing experience, focused on supporting more complex testing efforts and developing technical skills.
- Develop test programs for regression, usability, or negative testing.
- Design basic test plans, scenarios, and scripts, ensuring repeatability and compliance with standards.
- Document test procedures and maintain databases of known defects.
- Update test scripts under guidance.
- Investigate customer issues referred to by technical support and perform initial debugging by reviewing logs or configuration files.
- Conduct compatibility tests for software, hardware, and operating systems.
- Install and configure software environments for performance testing under supervision.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related technical discipline. and a minimum of 3 years of experience in software/system testing or quality assurance.
- Proficiency in executing test plans and documenting results.
- Familiarity with test management tools and automated testing.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, Windows, and networking concepts.
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security Plus, Linux Plus and Computing Environment Certifications for Windows.
- Holds or able to obtain a minimum DoD Secret security clearance, Top Secret preferred.
- Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of JLCCTC Program activities is required.
