What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Phoenix Door Systems?
Maintenance technician is required to keep building, ground, and equipment in good working order. Responsibilities include:
· Maintenance:
Performing ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other systems. This may include painting, repairing flooring, and working on plumbing, air conditioning, etc.
· Inspections:
Regularly checking systems and equipment to ensure they are up to standards and running efficiently.
· Documentation:
Keeping clear and accurate records of routine testing, troubleshooting, and repairs. This is especially important in regulated environments.
· Safety:
Ensuring that machines are safe for use by employees and complying with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
· Communication:
Being able to read and interpret maintenance documentation, manuals, and plans. They may also need to work efficiently with production team members to minimize downtime.
Maintenance technician may also need to:
- Manage preventive maintenance contracts
- Perform general maintenance, such as changing light bulbs
- Schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures
- Track labor hours and materials used
- Keep the Operations manager informed on the overall condition of the facility
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.32 - $17.85 per hour
