Position Title: Assistant Clinical Director
Supervisor: Clinical Director
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for providing support and back-up for all of the clinical functions of the facility. Responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing support for the facility, and directs all activities within Phoenix Employee Solutions, LLC in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards.
- Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the Clinical discipline.
- Knowledge of DCF Standards and requirements for licensed substance abuse facilities.
- Analytical: This individual must be able to pay close attention to detail.
- Problem Solving: This individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Oral communication: This individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
- Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence.
- Adaptability: This individual demonstrates the ability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
- Discretion: Maintain confidentiality of internal privileged data

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES:
- Adheres to the facility’s philosophy.
- Maintains a small caseload providing individual, group and family counseling.
- Functions as leader of Clinical Staff Meetings when the director is away or needs coverage.
- Provides coverage for clinical director duties as needed.
- Implements plans for performance improvement along with clinical director with clinical staff.
- Evaluates and provides clinical supervision and consultation to assigned staff.
- Assists clinical director and group coordinator with program planning and development.
- Participates in the interviewing, hiring and training of new clinical staff and interns.
- Assists with providing staff development (i.e. supervision, educational, etc.)
- Facilitates communication with ancillary services.
- Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally.
- Builds positive relationships with staff and physicians.
- Works collaboratively with the Clinical Director.
- Demonstrates knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures, and the ability to
- communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
- Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
- Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
- Assists in formulating standards for patient care.
- Performs other tasks, as assigned.
- Completes other tasks, as assigned by supervisors

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- College Degree Master’s or above in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or health related field.
- Licensed to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.
- CPR certified.
- Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong computer Skill.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Will spend majority of time working on a computer, using office equipment, working with patients. Frequently interacts directly or over the phone with staff members during the workday. May be required to travel between facilities. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position.
