What You'll Do:
- Operate 3-roll and 4-roll plate rolling machines to shape steel plate into cylinders, cones, and rolled segments
- Roll steel plate ranging from 1/4? to 2? thickness for water tank components
- Interpret blueprints, rolling charts, and shop drawings to ensure accurate specifications
- Set up rolling machines, make adjustments for material thickness, diameter, and cone shape
- Work with team members to align and verify rolled pieces match project requirements
- Operate overhead cranes and use proper rigging techniques for safe material handling
- Communicate effectively with welders, fitters, and supervisors to meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines
- Assist with press brake operation when needed
- Practice active listening and awareness when receiving job instructions
