Compounder

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage in day-to-day blending, mixing, and preparing batches by written specifications/procedures to ensure maximum output at optimum efficiency and comply with government regulations, cGMP practices, company policies, and customer specifications.
• Prepare and process batches by established specifications and procedures.
• This includes Cleaning and sanitizing all required chemical processing equipment, pipes, pumps, and tanks—staging and transferring chemical raw materials, preparing and operating chemical compounding equipment, and transferring batches.
• Follow written procedures to ensure that all documentation, records, and logbooks are accurately completed and in accordance with GMP.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance with hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Operate forklift according to safe operating rules at all times.
• Operate and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment such as mixers, pumps, and scales—request equipment maintenance as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Compounder.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization and with work assignments/projects.
• Self-organized, Self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Using hands and arms together to move various items.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
