We are looking for someone passionate about cooking to join our team. You must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing your talents in the kitchen!
Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.
Pantry/Prep Cook to assist workers engaged in preparing foods for Kava outlet by performing a combination of duties. Also, execution of packaging and inventory management of all fresh made foods. Not limited to assist in basic receiving and proper storage of products on delivery days.

Your Role:
- Must be able to “prep” food products, assemble and properly package for Kava , using standardized food preparation techniques.
- a. Wash, cut, seed fruits & melons, slice, bake, sandwich spreads, handling various proteins, and etc.…
- b. Portion and measure designated ingredients.
- c. Properly assemble / stamp logo for market style foods for Kava
- Date all food with Used by date and rotate as per the SOP, making sure perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
- Store foods in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and food spoilage. Maintain sanitary regulations of food temperatures. Rotate all products.
- Maintain high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with state, county, and company policy.
Qualifications:
- Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
- Requires strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Have a desire to exceed expectations
- An energetic personality
