What are the responsibilities and job description for the RCOH Integrated Process Team (IPT) Recorder position at Phoenix Group of Virgina, Inc.?
The Phoenix Group of Virginia is seeking a detail focused candidate to support Aircraft Carrier Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) Integrated Process Team (IPT) leaders to ensure teams meet required goals and deliverables, assists the leader in meeting planning, prepares and publishes agendas and helps teams to stay on task to meet stated goals. Technographers use various methods to record information including technical writing, sketching, flowcharting, brainstorming, affinity diagrams, mind mapping and other tools and techniques to capture team concepts and ideas. This position in responsible to capture the activities of the team and provide accurate records of assigned team’s activities, outcomes and records. Technographer services consist primarily as the recorder for assigned RCOH project team meetings and team historian for data retrieval.
Position Requirements:
- Education: A combination of experience and a High School diploma with four years’ experience that provides an understanding of the basic principles, practices, operations, and specialized vocabulary of the appropriate scientific, technical, or social science field(s), or with Aircraft Carrier (CVN) equipment or technical systems.
- Military Experience: Highly desired. Other candidates who possess familiarity with military environment will be considered. Aircraft Carrier, combat systems or communications experience is highly desired.
- Skills:
- Applies developed skills and knowledge of techniques in a specific professional, scientific or technical area.
- Develops and authors original technical papers, instructions, and edits.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills required
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressured, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to interact comfortably and appropriately with all levels of military ranks and civilian equivalents
- Proven team personnel management ability
- Capturing content from technical and frequently complicated meetings to include ability to type at 45 WPM minimum
- Use of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel software applications
- Operate Web and Teleconferencing platforms
- Ability to master other computer programs as needed: Virtual Office programs, Visio, etc.
- Applies developed skills and knowledge of techniques in a specific professional, scientific or technical area.
- Physical Abilities:
- This position requires the candidate to work in a shipyard industrial environment and the candidate should be physically able to traverse stairs, ship ladders possess the ability to walk distances while wearing shipyard PPE.
