What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Phoenix Group?
Key Responsibilities:
⚫ Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction site for the new Bitcoin Mining facility in the US and Canada, currently South Carolina in the US and Manitoba in Canada.
⚫ Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
⚫ Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
⚫ Implement and maintain safety protocols and quality standards on the construction site.
⚫ Provide regular progress updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
⚫ Resolve any issues or delays that arise during the construction process.
⚫ Liaise with local authorities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding Bitcoin mining.
⚫ Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
⚫ Ensure compliance with all relevant construction and mining industry regulations
Qualifications/Requirements:
⚫ Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Site Operation Manager in construction, ideally with experience in Proof-of-Work crypto mining, data centers, or similar projects.
⚫ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
⚫ Strong understanding of construction management processes and industry standards.
⚫ Proficiency or familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding Bitcoin mining.
⚫ Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
⚫ Ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
⚫ Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
⚫ Familiarity with construction and project management software tools.
⚫ Relevant certifications in construction management or safety are advantageous.
⚫ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
⚫ Ability to work on-site in the United States of America (and Canada).
