Schedule: shifts are for typically 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. with paid breaks, one to two nights per week. We offer paid time off and time-and-a-half for holiday hours worked.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the care plan, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of a nurse
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home care or a related healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
