About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to coordinate all activities related to a construction project on-site, ensuring timely completion within budget and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and comply with Company and safety policies and procedures.
- Supervise overall direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of sub-contractors.
- Directly supervise, coordinate, and delegate activities of Superintendent(s), Foreman(men), and/or construction trade workers in one or more occupations.
- Coordinate activities of multiple subcontractors.
- Interact with clients to keep projects on schedule and under budget.
- Complete all required project reports and maintain appropriate documentation on all facets of the project.
- Ensure certified operators and maintain all equipment on the project.
- Assist Human Resources and Superintendent by interviewing, hiring, and training, appraising work performance, and addressing complaints of employees in the field.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
- Ability to forecast and monitor costs of projects.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Email, and Internet preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment:
This is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule subject to project requirements.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 90% travel required, presence directly on Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.
