What You’ll Do:
As our Leasing Underwriter, you'll be at the heart of our leasing process—reviewing applications, verifying applicant info, and making data-driven decisions that support healthy, high-performing properties. Your work will directly impact occupancy rates, tenant satisfaction, and overall portfolio success.
- Evaluate lease applications with precision and care
- Verify income, credit, employment, and rental history
- Use your judgment to approve, deny, or conditionally approve tenants
- Partner with leasing agents and property managers to keep things moving smoothly
- Maintain detailed, accurate records and ensure all decisions follow Fair Housing Laws and company guidelines
- Identify trends, reduce risk, and continuously improve our screening processes
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience in underwriting property
- Confidence working with credit reports, background checks, and financial documents
- Strong analytical skills and solid decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail—you never miss a beat!
- Familiarity with leasing platforms or property management software is a plus
What is Preferred:
- A degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Experience in both residential and commercial leasing
- Knowledge of the local rental market
- Bilingual communication skills
