What You’ll Do:As a Property Manager at A.E. AMER, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our properties. You’ll be the key liaison between ownership, tenants, vendors, and internal teams—ensuring our properties are well-maintained, fully occupied, and financially successful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of assigned residential and commercial properties
- Ensure positive tenant relations and respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and maintenance issues
- Work with leasing agents to maintain high occupancy levels and minimize vacancy rates
- Enforce lease terms, handle lease renewals, and manage rent collections
- Oversee repairs and maintenance activities, working with vendors and service providers
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and property financials
- Monitor and control operating expenses to meet financial goals
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws
- Maintain accurate records of leases, maintenance requests, expenses, and communications
- Collaborate with ownership on operational improvements and long-term property strategy
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, or similar role
- Strong understanding of leasing, property operations, and maintenance coordination
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
What is Preferred:
- Real Estate License or Property Management Certification (CAM, CPM, etc.)
- Experience with both residential and commercial properties
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Familiarity with budgeting, rent rolls, and financial reporting
