Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented High-Speed Mail Inserter Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and troubleshooting high-speed mail inserter machines, including the Roll-in with a 6-pocket 2D barcode matching system. You will handle a variety of mail types, such as bank statements, checks, invoices and flats, while ensuring quality control and mechanical integrity through routine equipment inspections.
Success in this role requires strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues to optimize efficiency and output. We have opportunities available on the afternoon and midnight shifts, with competitive hourly rates based on your skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate high-speed mail inserter machines, including Roll-in with 6-pocket 2D barcode matching.
- Manage different types of mail, such as bank statements, checks, invoices and flats.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to detect quality control issues or mechanical problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues to ensure smooth production.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to mail insertion operations.
Schedule
- Full-time.
- Five days a week – 8-hour shift (afternoon and midnights).
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Background and Qualifications
- Previous experience operating high-speed mail inserter machines preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work afternoon or midnight shifts.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Work Location
- In-person at our Troy, Michigan location.
Salary
- Hourly: $21 to $26 for 1st shift (based on experience)
- Shift Premium available for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
