POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will primarily focus on strategic customers and oversee all aspects of accounting support (accounts payable, analysis, reporting, month-end close processes). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transactional processing (A/P, Fixed Assets, Financial Close), and background in supporting construction projects.
Responsibilities
Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized AP records.
Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of AP policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Providing support to internal and external customers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multiple accounting disciplines
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Yardi).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with accounting in the construction industry
Knowledge of transactional accounting processes
Uncompromising attention to following standard processes
Experience with interpreting and creating financial statements
