Job Summary
Phoenix Investors is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Tech for first shift at our Endicott, NY facility. As an I&C tech, you will be a crucial asset in maintaining utility metering, SCADA systems, HVAC controls, and facility wide control infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, program, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment, computers, metering, monitoring, and control systems facility wide
- Ensure proper operation of and identify and troubleshoot issues pertaining to PLC and SCADA systems
- Read and interpret P&IDs and CWDs to locate, identify, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems, interlocks, etc.
- Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools (i.e., drills, screwdrivers) as necessary to troubleshoot and maintain devices and systems
- Complete all written and electronic records (i.e., work orders, calibration sheets, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
- Associate Degree or equivalent education in instrumentation, pneumatics, engineering, or a related technical discipline. OR
- Completion of an Instrumentation and Controls Apprentice Training Program. OR
- Two (2) years military experience in electronics repair and calibration may be substituted for formal training.
- Three (3) years industrial experience in electronics repair and calibration
- Schneider Modicon and SyMax PLC experience preferred
- GE iFIX experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
