POSITION OVERVIEW
Phoenix Investors (the “Company” or “Phoenix”) is a national commercial real estate firm based in Milwaukee, WI, whose core business is the revitalization of former manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
Conduct in-depth research on prospective acquisitions, including property history, ownership, tenancy, zoning, and municipal data
Research and track portfolio tenants, including corporate structure, financial strength, industry trends, and facility needs
Research prospective tenants, including corporate structure, financial strength, occupied real estate, industry news/trends
Research market fundamentals, including lease comps, sale comps, vacancy, absorption, and new development activity
Profile target cities and submarkets, including economic drivers, tax environment, workforce trends, and infrastructure
Compile and summarize data from CoStar, LoopNet, Crexi, public records, and internal databases
Prepare research-driven reports and executive summaries to support acquisitions, leasing efforts, and corporate strategy
Coordinate with local resources and brokers to gather qualitative insights from the field
Track and maintain databases of comparable properties, market trends, and deal activity
Support internal meetings with timely, actionable research and deal background
Maintain well-organized digital folders and ensure information is shared across the team
Secondary Duties:
Assist in the preparation of internal memos and presentations for deal reviews
Attend property tours or broker meetings to support team intelligence gathering
Provide ad hoc research and analysis in support of leasing, asset management, or strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, economics, finance, or related field
1 – 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, market research, brokerage, or investment support preferred
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information clearly
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools
Familiarity with real estate platforms like CoStar, LoopNet, Crexi, or public databases (SEC filings, property records, GIS, etc.)
Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong time management skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment
Interest in commercial real estate and a desire to grow into a more analytical or transactional role over time
