Job Summary : The Estimator / Scheduler will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and developing production schedules to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing operations. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine labor, material, and time requirements.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes.Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.Review historical data and utilize industry benchmarks to improve the accuracy of estimates.Present estimates to management and clients, addressing any questions or concerns.Scheduling :Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality control teams to ensure all resources are available for scheduled production runs.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope, materials availability, or production issues.Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.Identify and mitigate potential scheduling conflicts or delays.Coordination and Communication :Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and timelines.
Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments to ensure smooth workflow and project execution.Participate in production meetings to provide updates on estimates and schedules.Continuous Improvement :Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance estimating accuracy and scheduling efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in manufacturing technology.Implement new tools and techniques to streamline estimating and scheduling processes.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in estimating and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical and mathematical skills.Proficiency in estimating software and scheduling tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Benefits :
