Sr. Assoc / Vice President, Investments

Job Overview:

Phoenix is seeking an investment professional (Senior Associate or VP) to join our growing investment team. This role will be responsible for working w deal teams on financing transactions that require bespoke capital structure and liquidity solutions. The position is based in Rye, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and structure private credit transactions for middle market companies that require bespoke capital structure and liquidity solutions
• Maintain relationships with middle market companies and their advisors, including investment bankers, lawyers, and accountants.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis of portfolio companies to ensure compliance with investment agreements and to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence and underwriting on potential borrowers, including financial analysis, industry research, and market analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
• Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitive landscape in the private credit industry.
• Work closely with the investment team to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in originating private credit transactions.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including experience in modeling cash flows, analyzing financial statements, and understanding complex capital structures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of credit markets and regulatory environment.
