Job Summary
This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and / or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
- Responsible for moving inventory or equipment, filling customer orders, pulling material from racks, unloading incoming material, loading trucks and / or customer vehicles, & helping maintain the upkeep of the warehouse.
- Responsible for operating and managing industrial forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping.
- Moving goods packed on pallets around the storage facility.
- Checking loads are secure.
- Stacking empty pallets.
- Performing daily equipment checks.
- Use scanner to locate material.
- Adhere to all safety rules / standards.
- Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Responsible for adhering to / ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Warehouse / Field setting; minimal temperature environment
Shift : 6a-2 : 30p Monday-Friday
