Job Summary
This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and / or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution .
Duties and Responsibilities
- Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
- Responsible for loading flatbed trailer
- Responsible for safely loading / unloading material to / from supplier vehicles using material handling equipment such as a forklift, overhead crane or side loaders.
- Examines material for obvious quality defects and using measuring devices such as a tape measure to ensure conformance to purchase and sales orders.
- Tags material for proper identification and completes all required documentation.
- Safely operates commercial trucks on Company property.
- Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Reports any irregularities to supervisor for direction.
- Responsible for adhering to / ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Warehouse / Field setting; minimal temperature environment
Schedule : Sunday-Thursday 11p-7a
