We are seeking a skilled E/I Mechanic to join our Maintenance department at PHOENIX PAPER WICKLIFFE LLC. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a stable, rapidly expanding organization.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide effective support for specific projects, utilizing their expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure efficient operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Inspecting and testing electrical/instrumentation equipment as required.
- Installing pneumatic, electronic, and other instrumentation equipment.
- Disassembling malfunctioning electrical/instrumentation equipment, troubleshooting and testing mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
- Operating distributive controls and programmable controllers to diagnose control problems.
- Assisting with planning layouts, running conduit, wiring and tubing both new and existing installations.
- Developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
- Performing mechanical maintenance tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Power Engineering, Computer Electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience with electronic and pneumatic process instrumentation, A/C and D/C variable speed drives, and industrial power distribution systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and safety consciousness.
- A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50-70 lbs regularly.
- Distinguishing colors and excellent verbal and communication skills.
