Job Description
Manage and lead the Electrical reliability function for the Mill. Focused on areas to meet safety, environmental, reliability, production, quality, and Mill goals. This position leads the development and execution of the mill reliability programs.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain high levels of accountability with subordinates for full compliance of safety actions, training or policy changes that will support attainment of safety goals. Actively participate in a leadership role in attainment of safety goals identified for the mill.
- Help lead Reliability Improvement in the Mill and build a Reliability Culture
- Support Maintenance dept. with troubleshooting equipment deficiencies.
- Oversees and leads Electrical Skilled Craftsman training and certification standards.
- Ensures Electrical Precision Practices are understood, followed, and improved across the mill.
- Assist to Implement Reliability best practices and process system for Precision Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Lubrication as it relates to our electrical equipment.
- Manage and communicate Reliability Metrics to drive performance.
- Sponsor Operator Basic Care initiative through the Mill.
- Sponsor Root Cause failure analysis process for Reliability Events (RIs)
- Support/manage Manufacturing Work Systems Processes
- Lead outage improvement and planning processes for electrical discipline.
- Direct or oversee any modifications to electrical equipment or systems that improve reliability or cost effectiveness.
- Develop long-term strategies for sustained electrical reliability for Power Distribution, Motor Life and Efficiency, Instrumentation, Switchgear, Distributed Control Systems, Drives, and PLC’s
- Develop and assist in efficient execution of an electrical equipment capital strategy.
Essential/Required Qualifications:
-
- BA/BS degree in an electrical engineering field and/or
- 5 years’ experience in management supervision
- 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance/engineering
- 5 years’ experience in electrical manufacturing reliability
- Excellent written and oral communication skill set.
Desired Qualifications:
-
- High level of knowledge in advanced asset reliability techniques and practices
- CMRP trained.
- Has led Reliability improvement at manufacturing facility.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound understanding of financial practices and cost measures/controls as they relate to maintenance.
- Works well with teams and can take leadership roles effectively.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft office Software.
