Job Description:
As an Electrical & Instrumentation (E/I) Mechanic, you will play a critical role in supporting the Maintenance department by providing effective support for specific projects. This is a multi-craft position with primary Electrical and Instrumentation experience, Mechanical work may be assigned.
- Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
- Inspects and tests electrical/instrumentation equipment as required
- Installs pneumatic, electronic, and other instrumentation equipment
- Installs fixtures, motors and other electrical equipment
- Disassembles malfunctioning electrical/instrumentation equipment, troubleshoots and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects
- Operates distributive controls and programmable controllers to diagnose control problems
- Assists with planning layouts, running conduit, wiring and tubing both new and existing installations
- Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs
- Performs mechanical maintenance tasks
- Assists with any other duties/projects given by supervisor(s)
