Position Summary:
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E/I) Mechanic will play a key role in maintaining the electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment at PHOENIX PAPER WICKLIFFE LLC. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles and be able to apply this knowledge to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
- Repair and replace faulty electrical and instrumentation components
- Install new electrical and instrumentation equipment as needed
- Test and inspect electrical/instrumentation equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Power Engineering, Computer Electronics or related field
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and experience with electronic and pneumatic process instrumentation, A/C and D/C variable speed drives and industrial power distribution systems
- Safety conscious and able to work unsupervised
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to lift 50-70 lbs regularly
- Valid driver's license and excellent verbal and communication skills
