The S'edav Va'aki Museum has an opening for a Groundskeeper. In this role you will perform custodial and maintenance activities such as street landscaping and maintaining outdoor historical / specialty areas for the Arts and Culture facilities. You will interact with guests, learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation which takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting. Other responsibilities include cleaning, gardening using push and riding mowers, string trimmers, edger and hedge shears. Groundskeepers work under general supervision and perform most tasks independently. Work is usually reviewed by an Arts and Culture Property Manager. Travel to other locations will be required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Ability to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, holidays and evenings as requested.
- Ability to work outside in a variety of environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, air pollution, and dust.
- Ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
- Ability to identify safety hazards or criminal activity and report it in a timely manner.
- Ability to walk for prolonged periods which may include walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
- Ability to professionally communicate information to museum staff and guests.
SALARY
Pay Range : $18.16 to $26.83 per hour.
Hiring Range : $18.16 to $23.18 per hour.
