Phoenix Proconnect is representing a client in Fort Lauderdale that's currently looking for a senior accounting analyst.
Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities :
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Finance department including month and end-year processes, General Ledger management, capital assets reconciliations, debt activity, fixed asset and lease activity, and batching.
- Supporting the Controller in workflow process improvement and pursuing special projects.
- Ensuring finance team members meet all financial reporting deadlines.
- Aligning all accounting processes with GAAP.
- Maintaining the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial data and transactions into the ledger.
- Managing the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close and reports.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements related to the Company's debt securitization and debt covenant compliance.
- Supporting tax accountants by gathering and providing data.
- Assisting the Auditor, Controller, and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
- Preparing financial reports such as cash flow statements and accounts payable and receivable aging lists.
- Creating reports to track and analyze trends in business performance over time.
- Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts for future financial performance of a company or organization.
