Shape the future of user experience with strategic design initiatives that blend business needs and user insights. As a Product Designer, Vice President in Employee Experience Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience across our products and services. Leveraging your deep knowledge of design and research practices to lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that meet employee needs, business requirements and raise the collective maturity of our design practice. As a senior individual contributor, you'll exemplify cross-functional team collaboration, guide and mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility. Your expertise in experience strategy and inclusive design will ensure that our offerings are not only visually appealing but also accessible and user-friendly, enhancing the overall customer experience. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing across our internal mobile channel, which includes iOS and Android products and features. You'll be involved in every step of the process - defining product and features, executive and stakeholder reviews and presentations, testing, generating concepts, prototypes, and detail design, and lastly contributing to scaling our employee experience design system for mobile. You'll do this seamlessly by exemplifying great collaboration across disciplines (product, engineering, accessibility, and research) having a growth mindset, and being a team player.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within our mobile channel.
- Drive the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into the product development processes and ensure seamless and customer-centric solutions.
- Leverage your understanding of market trends and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to interpret insights effectively to influence your design work.
- Devise product design strategies that help us get from your long-term vision to what we might be able to deliver today whilst navigating complex tech stacks.
- Champion consistency and a masterful degree of UI / Visual Design craft across our mobile team ensuring the quality of theirs and your own delivery pushes our collective standards higher.
- Present your work to senior leadership (Exec / C-Suite level) on a regular basis knowing how to tailor your narrative appropriately for different audiences whilst always keeping the user at the center of your story and rationale.
- Contribute, champion, and help create standards and patterns that will feature in our Employee Experience Design System using your wealth of experience and knowledge of leading industry standard design systems.
- Support cross-team initiatives that help make our collective design practice in EX better - such as improving our hiring process for new designers, expanding our community presence, interviewing new team members, and more.
- Coach and mentor other members of the team to help us collectively raise the maturity and standard of the product design craft in the web team whilst fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
