Position Summary
We are looking for counselor interns to join our behavioral health and counseling treatment (BHCT) team. As an intern, you will provide services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness under the supervision of a licensed supervisor appropriate to your degree. Interns at Phoenix Rising BHR utilize evidence-based techniques like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care interventions, and other emerging best practices in mental health as they are trained.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide individual counseling sessions using evidenced-based practices

Submit timely documentation of services through EHR

Collaborate with agency and community providers to support client care

Attend weekly supervision and departmental meetings as required for training purposes
Qualifications

Enrollment in master's degree program in human service filed at CACREP or COAMFTE accredited institution

Pursuing Ohio licensure with CSWMFT board to diagnose and treat mental illness: CT status
