A Day in the Life of the High School School Counselor:
Duration: School year Position Type: Part Time
Hours: 21 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $35-$48 per hour based on experience & qualifications.

Job Summary
The K-8 School Counselor will provide support to students and families for social, emotional, and academic learning needs.
A Day in the Life of the High School School Counselor:
- Create and co-lead the student support team/MTSS.
- Meet with administration team to review referrals and interventions.
- Drive, co-lead and support implementation of tier 1 program; support teachers and offer PD and training when needed. Ensure connection with tier 2/3 interventions.
- Create singular or multiple cross-grade tier 2 groups.
- Maintain awareness of student diagnoses, develop and update plans for tier 3 students, and share with staff as needed.
- Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to PSC team.
- Provide and encourage outside referrals for students as needed.
- Career and College guidance
- Master's degree from four-year college or university or in school counseling program
- MN School Counselor License required or pre-license candidates in counseling program
