Busy metal recycling plant in Belleville has an opening for a General Laborer. This company separates and processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Annually, they process over a billion pounds of metals which are re-sold to customers worldwide!!
Must be available to work a day or afternoon shift - four, 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday!
Days 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Afternoons 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Job Responsibilities:
- Picking, sorting, and lifting unusable scrap from moving conveyors
- Cleaning the work area
- Operating a forklift
- Transporting scrap into various bins for processing
- Other duties as assigned by plant management
Position requirements include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of general labor experience
- Forklift experience is a definite plus.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis
- Must have a valid driver's license
