Full time, day shift Custodian needed for a growing manufacturing company in Canton. You would be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the production and warehouse areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and scrub production floors, warehouse aisles, and other designated areas.
- Remove trash and recyclables from production and warehouse areas regularly.
- Clean and sanitize floor, walls, and surfaces in non-sensitive production areas.
- Dust , Boxes, shelving, racks, and pallets as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of walkways within the warehouse.
- Use broom, mop, floor scrubbers, and other custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
- Follow all safety and company policies, including PPE.
- Report maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning tasks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working around machinery and forklifts in an active production environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
