What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sorter Operator position at Phoenix Services LLC?
Nation-wide leader in the recycling industry is seeking 1st and 2nd shift Pickers/General Laborers to work at their Belleville plant! Every year, our client processes close to a billion pounds of material from automobile shredder operators! The metals recovered include aluminum, copper, brass, zinc and stainless steel.
You would be responsible for sorting and separating these metals on a conveyor belt by hand. This position offers a highly-desired 4-day work week, a great opportunity to be hired in, and the chance for overtime.
Must be available to work a day or afternoon shift
Great, 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday!
Days Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Position requirements include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of general labor experience
- Forklift experience is a definite plus.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis
- Must have a valid driver's license
- All applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
