Summary:
We are looking for an HR professional to join our team. Working with the HR Manager, the HR Specialist is responsible for preparing compensation and benefits packages, setting up company policies and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role you must have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid labor legislation. Ultimately, the successful candidate will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures are maintained effectively.
Basic Job Duties:
· Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
· Assist with the ongoing development of an employee centric Company culture that emphasizes Safety and Quality.
· Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and compliance requirements.
· Prepare and maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using human resources management system software (ADP).
· Address employee related issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
· Recruitment: will be primary, responsible for the full cycle hiring process and related administrative tasks.
· Review employment applications and resumes to match applicants with job requirements.
· Designing, developing, and maintaining relevant human resources related forms, processes, and procedures.
· Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
· Develop and maintain accurate and up-to date job descriptions.
· Support employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health programs.
· Special projects as assigned.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
· Must demonstrate strong interpersonal relationship skills.
· Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Must possess proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office).
· Human Resources software (ADP, Kronos).
· Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical, organized, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
· Absolute Confidentiality.
Education Required:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Higher education a plus
Experience Desired:
· Experience in Human Resources or Management position.
