Quality Engineer II - Electronics
Location: Onsite in Chandler, AZ
Pay Rate: $32-34/hr DOE
Type: 6 month Contract
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections, audits, and quality processes to ensure compliance with specifications and build requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to generate reports and trend charts, and a solid understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies such as A3 and 8D's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct final, in-process, and receiving inspections to verify compliance with customer, industry, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with systems engineering to review build instructions, drawings, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Perform random, scheduled, and unscheduled audits to assess adherence to customer requirements, manufacturing specifications, and company standards.
- Investigate material returns by conducting root cause analyses, inspecting returned materials, reviewing documentation, and interviewing personnel to identify defects, malfunctions, or process failures.
- Maintain detailed records of quality data, including nonconformance logs, supplier information, and trend analyses to support process improvements.
- Prepare product return documentation for supplier failure analysis and track corrective actions.
- Support the development and maintenance of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) documentation, including work instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities, leveraging key performance metrics to enhance efficiency and quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in data analysis, report generation, and trend chart development.
- Knowledge of 7 quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, 8D's).
- Experience in performing quality inspections and audits within manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
