Title: Sr IT Project Manager - Design & Construction
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid/remote)

We're looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans related to hotel and casino design and construction. Projects range from medium to large scale, encompassing all phases from initial design and development to comprehensive testing and final deployment, while diligently maintaining adherence to project timelines, scope, and budgetary constraints.

Your role:


  • Oversee the design and implementation of IT infrastructure, encompassing network systems, security systems, servers, data storage, telecommunications, and point-of-sale systems, specifically tailored to meet the unique requirements of casino environments.
  • Ensure that the IT infrastructure design is closely aligned with the casino's operational needs and strategic goals, effectively supporting gaming systems, guest services, and entertainment offerings.
  • Ensure comprehensive compliance with all applicable industry regulations and standards, including gaming-specific requirements for data security, financial transactions, and guest privacy.
  • Ensure that IT systems and infrastructure adhere to industry regulations including data security, financial transactions, and gaming compliance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, casino operators, and other key stakeholders to seamlessly integrate IT needs into the broader property design.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with senior leadership, project stakeholders, and other departments, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
  • Effectively delegate project tasks to team members, strategically assigning responsibilities based on individual expertise and areas of strength.
  • Proactively manage any changes in project scope, schedule, or costs, ensuring transparent communication and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Generate and maintain all necessary project management documentation, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for project teams, actively promoting collaboration among multiple units contributing to the same project.
  • Negotiate conflicts and effectively resolve issues that may emerge during the project lifecycle.
  • Determine project staffing requirements, assemble high-performing teams, and effectively manage resource allocation.
  • Develop detailed budget requests for project resources, ensuring alignment with financial constraints.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and prioritize potential project risks and issues, thoroughly assessing their potential impact and developing robust mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and meticulously updated risk, issue, decision, and action (RIDA) logs.
  • Conduct well-organized project kickoff meetings to clearly communicate project goals, expectations, and individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor project costs against the established budget, diligently identifying and addressing any variances.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying resource needs, conducting thorough quality reviews, and escalating any scope, budget, quality, or timeline issues appropriately.
  • Develop comprehensive recovery plans for project deviations or assess the impact if recovery is not feasible, escalating concerns as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepare detailed and informative status reports to effectively communicate project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risks, status, change requests, and critical issues to clients and project teams.
  • Conduct formal project reviews with business sponsors upon project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction, ensuring alignment with expectations.
  • Facilitate productive lessons learned sessions to capture and analyze project experiences, driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Actively leverage past experiences to identify potential areas of improvement in project management processes, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between internal teams, such as IT, operations, and security, and external vendors and contractors, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.

What you've got:


  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, showcasing strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • 5 years of experience in IT project management specifically related to casino and/or hotel builds or remodels is required.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, encompassing network systems, security systems, gaming systems, and telecommunications.
  • Travel to casino sites, both locally and nationally, is required.
  • Ability to work in and around construction sites, including exposure to noise, dust, and other conditions.
  • Possess exceptional leadership, negotiation, and mediation skills, demonstrating the ability to guide teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, enabling effective decision-making and solution development.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and efficient project execution.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the company, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Exhibit strong facilitation skills for large group meetings, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide range of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, utilizing analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate challenges.
  • Ability to deliver results and navigate through ambiguity, showcasing resilience and resourcefulness.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, ensuring clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses required for the role.
