Title : Sr IT Project Manager (Web-Based and Cloud Solution Projects)
Location : Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid)
Type : 1-year contract with possibility of full-time hire
Oversee and manage the successful delivery of multiple medium to large-scale technology projects, encompassing all phases from design and development to testing and deployment, while ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, and budgetary constraints. This position requires 5-7 years of IT project management experience, preferably in web-based technologies and cloud solutions.
Your role :
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that align with established project management methodologies.
- Delegate project tasks effectively to team members based on their expertise and responsibilities.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder alignment.
- Create and maintain all required project management documentation.
- Act as a central point of contact for project teams, fostering synergy and collaboration among multiple units working on the same project.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, project sponsors, and team members.
- Effectively negotiate conflicts and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Determine project staffing needs, assemble high-performing teams, and manage resource allocation.
- Develop budget requests for project resources.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and prioritize project risks and issues, assessing their potential impact and developing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain detailed risk, issue, decision, and action (RIDA) logs.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings to clearly communicate project goals, expectations, and individual roles.
- Continuously monitor project costs against the budget, identifying and addressing any variances.
- Monitor overall project progress, identify resource needs, conduct quality reviews, and escalate any scope, budget, quality, or timeline issues appropriately.
- Develop recovery plans for project deviations or assess the impact if recovery is not feasible, escalating concerns as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive status reports to communicate project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risks, status, change requests, and critical issues to clients and project teams.
- Conduct formal project reviews with business sponsors upon completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.
- Facilitate lessons learned sessions to capture and analyze project experiences for continuous improvement.
- Leverage past experiences to identify potential areas of improvement in project management processes.
- Possess a strong background in web-based technologies, cloud solutions, APIs, and backend integrations, including legacy systems and Salesforce.
- Demonstrate a deep functional understanding of the hospitality, hotel, and travel industry, with experience implementing technology solutions within this domain.
- Oversee the integration of legacy systems with modern web technologies and Salesforce platforms.
- Understand and effectively coordinate Agile methodologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
